Cleveland Browns to hire Bengals’ Hue Jackson as new Head Coach

For the Browns, this will be their fifth coach in seven years. For the Bengals, fresh off of a melt-down which lead to an 18-16 defeat at the hands of the Steelers, it’s another disheartening loss for the team.

Hue Jackson, the Bengals’ offensive coordinator, is set to be named the new head coach of the Cleveland Browns. According to CBS Sports, Jackson was set to fly to New York today to meet with the Giants but the Browns weren’t having it and began finalizing the paperwork immediately.

According to NFL.com, Jackson decided to go with the Browns because “They made me feel comfortable.”

Browns owner Jimmy Haslam made sure he did what he needed to do to prove how much they wanted Jackson, including skipping out of last night’s owners meeting in Houston to take care of everything with their new head coach.
