Chicago Bulls’ Derrick Rose accused of rape

NBA superstar and 2011 NBA MVP Derrick Rose is being sued by a woman that claims the Chicago Bulls guard, along with two of his friends, drugged and raped her in an incident that occurred in 2013.

The woman, who is choosing to remain unnamed in her lawsuit, claims that she is a former girlfriend of Rose and dated him from 2011 to 2013. The reported lawsuit alleges that Rose invited the woman to his Beverly Hills home, where she says Rose and his friends slipped a drug into her drink with the intent of raping her. The woman was able to escape from the house with a friend before Rose and his friends (identified as his personal manger, Randall Hampton, and friend Ryan Allen) allegedly broke into her apartment and gang-raped her while she was incapacitated from the drug that was slipped into her drink.

The woman says she waited two years to file the suit because she was embarrassed about what occurred that night and didn’t want to disappoint her conservative family.

Roses camp acknowledged a non-exclusive, consensual sexual relationship with the plaintiff for over two years. But vehemently denied the sexual assault allegations earlier this morning.

The plaintiffs allegations are completely false and without any factual basis…We have complete confidence that the case will be dismissed and that Mr. Rose will be vindicated.
