"C'Mon Son!!!" is a semi-regular column on The Shadow League where we lovingly tap some fool on the shoulder in order to help them through some personal growth. Today's moron is former Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle, who has thrown away a promising and potentially lucrative NFL career through his mental midgetry.
Randle was jailed Monday in his hometown of Wichita, Kansas. Police said that he hit three people with a car, and then broke through the front door of a home he had been asked to leave.
Joseph Randle is only 24 years old, so he still has time to grow through these recent incidents which have caused him to quickly transform from a promising NFL prospect into another dude on the unemployment line. As a sophomore at Oklahoma State just five years ago, he rushed for 24 touchdowns, second in school history with only the great Barry Sanders having rushed for more, 37 in 1989, in a single season. As a junior, he led the Big 12 with over 1,400 rushing yards before leaving school early for the NFL Draft.
He served as Demarco Murray's backup for two years with the Cowboys, averaging an eye-opening 6.7 rushing yards per carry in limited appearances during the 2014 season. What should have been an expanded role with the team was cut short by injury last year, when we also learned that Randle was bugging out off the field.
In October of 2014, he was arrested in Texas for shoplifting men's cologne and some underwear from a Dillard's department store. That would have been a funny aside had he kept his nose clean and his name out of the headlines, but in February of 2015, he was arrested in Kansas for drug possession. The arrest was a result of a call to police because Ranble was supposed to have been involved in a domestic violence incident with a woman that involved a weapon.

That case was later dismissed due to a lack of evidence, but he was arrested once again at a casino in Kansas where he was intoxicated and accused of assaulting casino security guards.
Now we learn that Randle was jailed on $100,000 bond on suspicion of aggravated battery, drug possession and criminal damage to property in this latest incident in Wichita, where he hit three people with a car and then broke through the front door of a home he had been asked to leave. No charges were immediately filed, but investigators plan to present the case to prosecutors today.
According to police, Randle was ordered to leave a housewarming party early Sunday after getting into an argument with some people. While backing out of the driveway, police say, he hit two men and one woman on purpose with his car. He left and then supposedly returned moments later, breaking through the front door. When he was arrested, the police found him to be in possession of marijuana.
Having already been suspended by the NFL under the league's personal conduct policy and released by the Cowboys earlier this year, Randle has effectively played himself, literally and figuratively, out of the NFL at the age of 24 due to his own knuckleheaded-ness.
