Browns’ Josh Gordon applies for reinstatement

Today it was announced that suspended Cleveland Browns’ wide receiver, Josh Gordon, has applied for reinstatement to the NFL.

Te talent receiver missed all of the 2015 NFL season after getting hit with his third NFL suspension in three years, the latest for violating the leagues substance abuse policy while he was in Stage Three of the league-mandated program.

Following a private flight to Vegas with teammates in January of last year, Gordon failed an alcohol test, which he had agreed to take to reduce his 12 game suspension from the 2014 season by two games. He claimed that he though the terms of his agreement had expired since the regular season had finished. 

On the heels of the Browns hiring new head coach Hue Jackson, the Browns would love to keep the positive news flowing, and getting Gordon back would certainly help. In 2013 he lead the NFL with 1,646 yards receiving, and had 87 receptions and nine touchdowns, earning First Team All-Pro honors.
