Brian Williams is Back Rapping “Gin & Juice”

Monday, NBC newsman Brian Williams made an appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show and displayed enough sarcasm and snarky swag to draw laughs for all who watched in the audience and at home. Referring to his newfound relevance to hip hop after blowing up the internet with Fallon’s edited piece of Williams’ version of “Rapper’s Delight,” Williams seemed to bask in the moment, questioning the video saying, “I never said hippity.”

But Williams wasn’t finished with the snaps. “It’s all anyone mentions to me anymore,” he said, before asked Fallon why he couldn’t rap to other songs. “What about some early pre-hearing loss Foxy Brown?” Then he requested to rap to a “Luda” song. “I’ll do “Rollout.” ‘Who’s your weed man,'” he said seriously, reciting a Ludacris lyric. “’Why your smoke so good?’”

Williams’ version of “Rapper’s Delight,” was a comedic and hip hop hit. Using edited pieces of Williams’ news commentary to create the Sugar Hill Gang's 1979 classic, the video was an internet favorite gaining nearly 9 million views and giving Williams a newfound “coolness” that he’s likely never known among the hip hop loving demo. Now, he’s back again – thanks to Fallon – with a new video. This time, he hilariously raps to Snoop’s “Gin and Juice.”
