Brett Favre, T.O. Highlight 2016 NFL Hall of Fame Nominees

Brett Favre and Terrell Owens, two of the most polarizing figures during their careers in the NFL, headline the 2016 NFL Hall of Fame class of nominees.

While detractors are quick to point out that Favre has the all-time record for interceptions, the Green Bay Packers legend has almost every other passing record as well, a testament to a long and extremely successful career. It would be hard to fathom Brett Favre not being a first ballot hall of famer.

Owens, by comparison, may have a tougher road ahead of him. T.Os numbers alone make a solid case for him to be inducted on the first ballot- second most reception yards and third most touchdown receptions of all-time. However it will be interesting to see if his reputation as being a malcontent and his shaky relationship with the media will hurt him. He will be in competition with Marvin Harrison, who has been on the ballot for the past two years.

Other players who figure to receive strong consideration this year include Orlando Pace, Alan Faneca and Kurt Warner.
