Boxer Prichard Colon remains comatose, family remains hopeful

We’ve been checking in on the condition of Boxer Prichard Colon, who remains in critical condition after a vicious fight with Terrel Williams last October.

He collapsed after that fight and had to have emergency surgery to relieve pressure on his skull. Now, according to Bad Left Hook, the promising young fighter had to undergo another surgery, his second in two weeks, to insert a catheter in his spine which will administer a muscle relaxant.

His father, Richard Color, is optimistic about his son’s chances.

“We are grateful to all for such support from Day 1 and the endless prayers,” Richard Colon said. “The operation was different to the previous ones, but very necessary … in his recovery process. His response has been very positive, and we hope good things in the next few days. The prayers and support of all of you, that means a lot to all the family.”

We continue to wish Prichard a speedy and full recovery.
