Bomb Drops On Georgia Walk-On In Switzerland, Tears His ACL

You never know what type of offseason stories you'll run into, but this one is pretty bizarre for the privileged American way of thinking. Most of the athletes we cover, whether in college or the pros, run the risk of injury by working out for the next season.

But Dusan Langura was a preferred walk-on basketball player set to begin his career at Georgia this season, before tearing his ACL when a bomb went off while he was serving his military committment in his native Switzerland.

Georgia coach Mark Fox said Langura probably won't be cleared to practice until January or February, but at this point the big news is that he's still alive. A torn ACL and obscure career with the Bulldogs hoops squad should be the least of his concerns.

As far as Dawgs basketball goes, this is by far the most interesting story they will be a part of, barring another unique surprise like this one.
