Black Panther Unseats Titanic As Third-Highest Grossing U.S. Film Ever

As so it continues, Black Panther, a science fiction film directed by Ryan Coogler, based on a character created by Jack Kirby, continues altering the future of filmmaking with its very existence, terraforming what the mainstream believes it knows about well-funded black cinematic thought when left untampered with.

Black Panther is now the third-highest grossing film in North American history, overcoming Titanic with $665.4 million domestically. Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Avatar are the only films ahead of BP on the all-time list.

‘Black Panther’ About to Pass ‘Titanic’ to Become No. 3 Highest-Earning Movie in the U.S

Marvel and Disney’s Black Panther continues its reign as a box office superhero. The film is high on a record-breaking streak, and it’s just made history again. Its $652.5 million domestic box office total reported on Tuesday officially beats out Jurassic World’s $652.3 million earned in 2015. That makes Black Panther the No.

“Black Panther” moved past “Titanic” on the all-time list of highest grossing films. Even though the Disney and Marvel Studios offering is still trending worldwide, like being the first film to screen in Saudi Arabia in 35 years.

A Quiet Place has earned a well-deserved top spot at this weekends box office with its $50 million domestic opening. Thus far, Black Panther has earned $1.5 billion internationally.  “Ready Player One” turned in a solid second weekend total of $25 million domestically and has made $391.3 million worldwide.
