Bears Lose Brandon Marshall

The Chicago Bears lost more than a game against the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night football. Star wide receiver Brandon Marshall suffered a collapsed lung along with two broken ribs. The injury occurred during a simple cover 2 defensive play by Dallas when Cowboys safety Barry Church dove in to make the tackle on Marshall, Church's knee slammed into Marshall’s back and midsection as they both fell to the ground. Church instantly called for help as Marshall was heard agonizing in pain.

The initial assessment was a couple of broken ribs however it was more severe than once thought. This will put an end to a season that the Bears would do best to forget. Bears coach Mark Trestman saw Marshall today and describe him as in high spirits. This injury is a huge blow to a team that would have to win every game for the rest of the season too have a shot at the playoffs.
