Barkley Chucking The Deuces On TNT?

The Chuckster may be done. That’s right, TNT’s Inside The NBA crew could be getting a facelift soon. The used-to-be Round Mound of Rebound, Charles Barkley, is considering not finishing out his contract. In an exclusive interview with SI.com Barkley said:

"I love my job," Barkley said. "I love the people I work with. And I'm going to try to do things to keep me engaged. But I have four years left on my current deal and to be honest with you, it's going to be a struggle for me to make it for the whole four years. I really don't know how much longer I'm going to do this. I need something more, or something else to do to be honest with you."

While Barkley is good at his job, he’s not the only one who can rock the mic. TSL Staff has you covered with some not so turrible potential replacements to sit on Sir Charles’ TNT throne.

Jalen Rose: He may be the only dude who doesn't pander, is interesting, has a unique perspective and is young enough to have played against/with dudes playing in this era. He's one of the few guys on television (Steve Young and Cris Carter being the other two) who we actually really pay attention to.

Gary Payton: We’re throwing in G.P. just for his Oaktown playa-esque suits with the wide collars and phrases like “Black Jesus.” Don’t remember? Check the record here.

Tyronn Lue, Delonte West: Great for comic relief.

Grant Hill, Greg Anthony: Each will bring a sense of levelheaded eloquence.

Chris Webber: C. Webb would make a great mixture of the previous four guys.

Cheryl Miller: Yes, she’s a woman and hasn’t played in the NBA but hear us out. She’s already held her own on the NBA TV set and NBA sidelines. She can give you comedy, she can give you on-point analysis and if they ever need to do an on-court demo, Cheryl Miller could put a body on someone. Every player, current and former, respects her and the “How much better than Reggie Miller are you?” jokes will never get old.
