Lance Armstrong has reportedly decided to go on with Oprah Winfrey and finally admit to PED use. Oprah’s website posted a release on Tuesday announcing the Jan 17th exclusive.
Armstrong, according to the New York Times, has been considering telling the truth for a while now. It’s rather sad to see it all coming crashing down for Armstrong. He’s fought these accusations for over a decade, but it appears the cyclist has grown weary after being stripped of his seven Tour de France titles.
I always questioned how could Armstrong beat cancer and perform better than he ever had. I wanted to believe he could and so did America. But as OutKast said, “Heroes eventually die,” and it looks like the legend of Armstrong will be buried and the funeral will be televised.
