Antonio Brown Apologizes For Twitter Threat Of ESPN’s Jesse Washington

Criticisms can galvanized individuals to have greater resolve and resilience or it can trigger individuals into tempestuous tantrums. For Pittsburgh Steelers superstar wideout Antonio Brown, it appears to be the latter.

Brown is one of the most active NFL players on social media, much to the delight of NFL fans across the nation and the globe. Indeed, he is a very entertaining guy with his fashion sense, pearly white smile and often jovial demeanor.

However, when it comes to accepting criticism, he’s never been one to keep thoughts to himself when he feels something isn’t right.

Last week, The Undefeated’s Jesse Washington published an article titled “Antonio Brown Is An Instagram Star But Is That The Full Picture?”  In the piece he criticizes Brown’s social media usage and persona. But Brown wasn’t very happy about the picture Washington painted and took to Twitter to let his feelings be known.

@JesseWashington wait to I see you bro we gone see what your jaw look like, Brown said in a tweet that has since been deleted.

On Wednesday, Brown apologized for his behavior through the Steelers PR department.

“I made a mistake in judgment with my tweet last week, and I apologize for that. It is not OK to threaten anyone and I need to be better spiritually and professionally. Though I do not agree with the negative parts of the story about my personal life, I need to have better control over my actions to use social media as a way to engage with my fans, rather than use it improperly.”
