Alvin Clinkscales, Connecticut Basketball Legend, Passes Away At 81.

Alvin Clinkscales, former All-American college basketball player and father of The Shadow League’s CEO, Keith Clinkscales, passed away yesterday in Bridgeport, CT. He was 81 years old.

Mr. Clinkscales was a legend within the history of Connecticut basketball. A standout at Central High School, an All-American at Arnold College (which merged into the University of Bridgeport in 1953), a Harlem Globetrotter and the first Black high school basketball coach in the State of Connecticut at Notre Dame High School, Mr. Clinkscales had deep roots in Connecticut, working and raising a family in the Constitution State.

Mr. Clinkscales was remembered by The CT Post here.

The Shadow League would like to extend our sincerest condolences to the entire Clinkscales family.
