Reid Travis, the 6-foot-8 forward who averaged 19.5 points and 8.7 rebounds per game last season, was considered the biggest prize in college basketball’s graduate student transfer market. I want to thank everyone who has helped me with this process of taking the next step to pursue my dreams. I couldn’t be more excited for the future! https://t.co/xIwtBfFzLr

“I’m looking forward to a fresh start and continuing to pursue my dreams,” Travis said via a video he released on Twitter. “Looking for a school, the biggest thing that I wanted was to align both my academic and my athletic interests. After getting to know the staff and the players, it became very clear to me that there was no better place to continue this next step in the journey. I’m excited to work hard every day and give everything of myself to this program so that we can compete for a national championship. Big Blue Nation? Are we ready?”

Highlights: Reid Travis drops 26 points in Stanford men’s basketball’s win over Utah

Highlights from Stanford’s 81-75 win over Utah Saturday at Maples Pavilion. Reid Travis led the way with 26 points and five rebounds.

Travis notched 16 double-doubles last season, with the former five-star recruit converting on 56 percent of his shots inside of the three-point line. With the return of PJ Washington and the addition of freshman big man stud E.J. Montgomery, Kentucky head coach John Calipari just may have the nation’s best frontcourt heading into the 2018-2019 season.

Point guard and Philadelphia native Quade Green will quarterback a unit that is also bringing in three five-star recruits on the wing – Ashton Hagans, Immanuel Quickley and Keldon Johnson.

With Donte DiVincenzo and Omari Spellman leaving Villanova early after their stock soared during the NCAA Tournament, Kentucky, Duke and Kansas are among the early favorites to win next year’s national title.
