Alfre Woodard Becomes POTUS for State of Affairs

She is graceful, talented and appears to be the slowest aging person in Hollywood, but 61-year-old Alfre Woodard has always exuded class. Is that class on a presidential level? We are about to find out.  She is being tabbed to play the President of the United States opposite Katherine Heigl in the NBC drama pilot State of Affairs.  The show will be directed by Joe Carnahan and produced by Universal TV.  Heigl stars as a key CIA attaché who counsels the president (Woodard) on high-stakes incidents around the world. Woodard received an Emmy nomination for Lifetime’s Steel Magnolias and shared in 12 Years A Slave‘s SAG ensemble nomination.
