50 Cent Makes $2 Million Offer To Khabib To Fight For Him, Bellator

Fiddy’s doing his best “How To Rob” impression against Dana White and the UFC.

As the fallout over the UFC 229 vengeance attack where Conor McGregor and his team were retaliated against by Team Khabib Nurmagomedov, an unlikely ally has stepped into the fray.

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has brought his special brand of polarization to the MMA business by doing his best How To Rob impression against Dana White and the UFC. Jackson reached out to Khabib Nurmagomedov via social media and made him a $2 million dollar offer to fight for him under the Bellator banner in the aftermath of the Nevada State Athletic Commission withholding his purse.

@khabib_nurmagomedov I’ll deal with Dana and your contract later. The UFC is not the only game in town. Zubaira is welcome also. #bellator #lecheminduroi

“He called me yesterday and he said, ‘Hey, what’s going on with this?’ Scott Coker, President of Bellator said at the post-fight news conference after Bellator 208 on Saturday. “I said, ‘Well, the commission’s involved. There’s a lot of steps to that whole situation.’

“I’d like to just – I told him, ‘Hey, let’s just stay clear of it because that has nothing to do with Bellator, it has to do with the commission and the fighter and the league.’ So that’s their business.”

Jackson and Bellator MMA signed a partnership and licensing deal a few months ago that has featured a one-million-dollar prize to the winner of Bellator’s Welterweight World Grand Prix.

The partnership will see a Bellator apparel based on Jackson’s catchphrase “Get The Strap” as well as a sponsorship deal to feature his Le Chemin du Roi champagne.

“We are thrilled to partner with such a legendary icon who has been a friend to the Bellator family for quite some time. The “Get The Strap” apparel line is just the beginning of many joint ventures we will explore together,” said Coker vis statement.

“I am excited to partner with the Bellator Viacom franchise. Mixed martial arts yields some of the most action-packed events in the world. I’m excited for people to see how I plan to shake up MMA with the integration of my ‘Get The Strap’ trademark as well as my luxury champagne Le Chemin du Roi.” said Jackson also via statement.

Last week, Khabib let the UFC know that if they fired his teammate Zubaira Tukhugov for his involvement in the UFC 229 brawl, they better fire him too.

Nevada State Athletic Commission Executive Director, Bob Bennett, told ESPN as they plan to suspend both fighters for their actions at UFC 229. As of today, McGregor has been paid, Khabib still hasn’t received his purse and a bout between Zubaira Tukhugov (Team Khabib) and Artem Lobov (Team McGregor) has been canceled.

This weekend, Nurmagomedov’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz added his two cents regarding the offer from 50 Cent.

“For $2 million, [that won’t even] open a Coca-Cola bottle for Khabib” Abdelaziz said to TMZ. “Khabib make a lot of money. We talk about $50 MILLION and up, we can talk. But $2 mil? This is garbage.”

Adbelaziz also said that he’s serious about setting up a super fight between Khabib and Floyd Mayweather — saying if Floyd wants to dabble in MMA, Khabib would step up to the challenge.
