2k League Recap: Blazer5 Gaming Clinches #1 Overall Seed In Playoffs

With the NBA 2K League playoffs set for August 17, Blazer5 Gaming became the first team to clinch a regular season record playoff spot during Week 10.

Dayne “OneWildWalnut” Downey and Nidal “Mama I’m Dat Man” Nasser both had astounding two-win performances. Downey clocked in 24 points and 14 assists in a 79-75 victory over Jazz Gaming while Nasser registered 29 points and 24 assists in an overtime 94-91 victory over Kings Guard Gaming. Portland Blazer5 Gaming now has time to strategize their playoff run.  

Here are additional Week 10 highlighted moments:

Mehyar “AuthenticAfrican” Ahmed-Hassan set the new NBA 2K League single-game scoring record with 84 points in a defeat to 76ers GC.

– Raptors Uprising GC’s Kenneth “Kenny” Hailey registered the fourth triple-double (29 PTS, 12 AST, 10 REV) in NBA 2K League history.

– Team Adam the 1st defeated Team oFAB 90-75 to win the first ever NBA 2K League Showcase. The team consisted of Brian Scalabrine, NickTheBullsFan, Mz_LJ, RealLifeKaz, and Adam “iamadamthe1st” Kudeimati.

Davon “G O O F Y 7 5 7” Curry of Knicks Gaming provided 40 points and 13 rebounds in a crazy 90-81 win over Bucks Gaming.

Juan “Hotshot” Gonzalez from Heat Check Gaming had a strong 51 points and 10 rebounds contributing to the team’s 95-77 victory over Wizards District Gaming.
