Andre Ward agrees to multi-fight contract with HBO and co-feature fight on Cotto-Canelo card

Roc Nation Sports announced Andre Ward has agreed to a multi-fight contract that will bring the super middle-weight champion into the ring on Nov 21st against an unnamed opponent.

“HBO is the premier network in boxing and has been a great home to me both as a fighter and a commentator,” Ward said. “I made my professional debut on HBO nearly 11 years ago and I’m excited to move on to this next stage of my career at the light heavyweight division on HBO. My team and I have been hard at work preparing for Nov. 21 and the fans can expect another strong performance in Las Vegas.”

The undefeated Ward (28-0) will be the co-feature of the highly anticipated Miguel Cotto vs. Canelo Alvarez showdown from Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

Who will be Ward’s opponent? There have been whispers that it will most likely be Alexander Brand (24-1). Hopefully this deal will ultimately bring us Ward vs. Kovalev. Boxing fans are anxiously awaiting.
