https://t.co/M5lXo80Oz2 i am Humbly Grateful to be nominated with so many other AMAZING writers?? Congratulations to all of them also??

Not familiar with some of Missy’s credits, “1,2 Step” by Ciara, “So Gone” by Monica and “If Your Girl Only Knew,” by Aaliyah, just to name a few.

In 2016, Missy told the Associated Press she believed her gender is why people don’t respect her way with words.

Stating:

“A lot of people don’t know a lot of records that I’ve written or produced, so that’s a highlight for me as a woman. I always said if a man would have done half the records that I’ve done we would know about it. But we don’t know all the records I’ve done for other artists”.

Other 2019 nominees include Mariah Carey and Dallas Austin. Voting will continue until December 17, and winners will be inducted at a gala in June 2019.
