TSL Sports Talk Recap: Steve Kyler

Basketballinsiders.com’s Steve Kyler, joined us on TSL Sports Talk this week to talk about the latest in the NBA. Check out a few highlights below.

On the Cavs and LeBron:

When LeBron first announced he was coming back to Cleveland, he warned everyone that it wasn’t going to be like Miami, that there wasn’t going to be a championship this year; that this team had a long way to go, a young roster full of guys that haven’t tasted success yet, a coach who had not coached in the NBA yet, and a world of expectation was going to be hard to meet. I think all of that is really true. I don’t even think LeBron thought it was going to be this bad, but there is a couple of things to keep in mind. LeBron has missed games. He hasn’t been himself. He’s been battling injuries all year. MVP hasn’t even looked closed to an MVP. There were a couple of games where he looked like LeBron, but for the most part, it looks like he’s doing taxes! It doesn’t look like he’s focused on winning games and Kevin Love was supposed to be the answer, right? The most complimentary player to LeBron, the guy that can nail a corner three. He’s shooting some of his worst basketball since, maybe, his rookie year and the guy can’t guard anybody! Then Kyrie’s been injured and Kyrie was supposed to be the next Chris Paul -that everyone wanted to play with- and had this amazing court vision. He can’t find an assist to save his life. Then the bench has been atrocious!
