TSL Comic Book Convo Podcast-Episode 3

It seems like everybody is committed to creating comic books these days, and it would appear from our admittedly myopic viewpoint that Black people are crafting more independent comic book and graphic novel offerings than ever before. In an industry where three or four publishers dominate the landscape from both a sales and a popularity standpoint, the successful independent comic book publisher has to be original, cutting edge and willing to take their books in a direction that no one else is willing or able to go.

It is with that in mind that The Shadow League invited Regine Sawyer of Lockett Down Productions to sit down and chat with us for our TSL Comic Book Convo podcast. Who else is more qualified to not only discuss female comic book characters of African descent, but the ins and outs of publishing a book whose mission is to inject as much diversity into a the comic book industry as she can possibly muster.  Check it out as Sawyer and I got get deep about what it is to create, publish and be successful in the comic book game as a Black woman, and much, much more.
