Randy Moss Says Goodbye On Twitter.

Randy Moss doesn’t tweet often, but when he does it’s always compelling. On Saturday, the self-proclaimed best WR ever gave his farewell speech to the San Francisco 49er fan base.

Moss, who once was one of the preeminent threats in the NFL, is now a 36-year-old who complained about not getting enough targets.

At his best, Moss amassed numbers that on paper make him a Hall of Famer. He has 156 TD’s, 15,292 yards and 982 catches. At his worst he’s been known as a guy who “plays when he wants” and cantankerous player who couldn’t make it with the Pats.

Hopefully the mercurial WR catches on somewhere. But there isn’t much of a market for 36-year-old guys who’ve lost a step and are known as much for complaining as he was for great play.
