Patriots skip Pro Bowl. Yes, ALL of them

After losing to the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship, some of the New England Patriots had one final game to play in Hawaii at the Pro Bowl.

But today we learned that bitterness trumps fandom as all seven of those players voted to the game would be skipping it.

In an unprecedented move, quarterback Tom Brady, tight end Rob Gronkowski, linebacker Jamie Collins, defensive end Chandler Jones, cornerback Malcolm Butler, kicker Stephen Gostkowski and special-teams player Matthew Slater have decided to ignore their fan’s desire to see them play one final time this season.

According to CBS Sports, Buccaneers’ B Jameis Wintson will replace Brady, Gronk was replaced by Browns tight end Gary Barnidge, Butler and Gostkowski were replaced by Giants cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and kicker Josh Brown, respectively. Jones was replaced by Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan, Collins was replaced by Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr and Slater was replaced by Bengals halfback/special teamer Cedric Peerman.
