JK Rowling Goes HBO

JK Rowling continues to take over the world of publishing and Hollywood adaptations. After the Harry Potter series made her a billionaire, now her adult novel A Casual Vacancy will become a 3-part miniseries on HBO.

Produced by BBC and HBO, the bestseller surrounds around the drama in “a pretty little town of Pagford.” Shrouded in secrecy since BBC announced in 2012 that the book was headed to TV, the novel was Rowling’s first attempt at adult fiction after writing Harry Potter’s dramas in the wizard world for years. Although A Casual Vacancy received mediocre reviews, it only takes one hit in Hollywood to make all rush to scoop up future creative content. And now Rowling, continues her throne atop the world.
