Jenrry Mejia is banned for life by MLB

Today history was made, and it’s a not a good one to be a part of if your name is Jenrry Mejia.

For the first time under Major League Baseball’s Joint Drug Agreement, a player has been caught and punished for using PEDs three times. His name is Jenrry Mejia and his punishment is harsh- a permanent ban from MLB.

At only 26 years old, the career of the former Mets’ closer (for most of the 2014 season) is now over.

He was suspended for the second time while serving his first PED-related suspension and now he’s been nailed a third time while still serving his second suspension.

To make things even crazier, this all went down in less than a calendar year.
