1/3: Klein/Kendrick Lamar
Collin Klein, Kansas State Senior Quarterback
Stats: 37 total TDs (15 passing) 7 Interceptions. Team Record is 10 – 2 and Big 12 Champions.
Collin Klein plays in Manhattan, Kansas, which is about as glamorous as a seedy massage parlor in Manhattan, New York. I mean, Manhattan, KS is even boring for a college town. Klein’s style fits the town he plays in. It’s rugged, rough, and not flashy. Klein is atypical. He’s a married college student that doubles as the big man on campus. He’s giving the groupies on Kansas State’s campus absolutely no hope. Klein’s style leaves a lot to the imagination.
He doesn’t have blazing speed. His throwing motion is uglier than Megan Fox’s thumbs, and he wears those damn awkward mid-high white socks. Klein is all substance and no style, but, when you look at his numbers, the job gets done. Kansas State is in a BCS bowl game and, without him, they’d be playing in the Plastic Spoon bowl.
If Klein was a rapper he’d be Kendrick Lamar. K-Dot isn’t flash and dash. He’s not talking about the usual money and drugs. He’s not Slick Rick’d down in gold chains (like 2Chaiz). By today’s rapper standards, Lamar is very different. And he's mainstream, but not pop. An artsist's artist that can still move units. As of December 2, 2012 his debut album, Good kid, M.a.a.d city, has sold 457,000 copies.
