GOOD MORNING

It was a wild weekend in the NFL, with three overtime games and more fun with the replacement referees.

The Titans and Lions went all out on the ridiculousness after Tennessee hit us with a throwback to the Music City Miracle in the first quarter. The Lions then completed a Hail Mary to send the game into overtime. Unfortunately, DirecTV viewers didn’t get to see it.

The NFLPA released a thunderous letter to the Owners and Roger Goodell, slamming them for their negotiations with the referees. When the referees are throwing hats at players and failing to control the game, it’s hard to argue with the NFLPA. It’s also hard to argue with ratings.

It’s been awhile since geniuses Ronaldinho and Kaka took soccer by storm as dominant central midfielders. Tim Vickery wonders if Chelsea’s Oscar is ready to restore Brazilian tradition.

FLASHING LIGHTS

The Emmy’s were handed out last night; much to everyone’s…annoyance, apparently.

Modern Family was a big winner, taking home comedy of the year for the third consecutive time.

There was a great moment with Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert, as usual, when Stewart was awarded his 8 millionth Emmy.

And here’s the list of complete winners and the looks from the red carpet.

Meanwhile, A$AP Rocky, SchoolBoyQ and Danny Brown embarked on their “Raucous Tour”, which, after the video below, could not be more appropriately named.

Kanye West’s lawyers are all over his alleged sex tape. So you know it’s real.

Evidently, Billie Joe does not HeartRadio.

DID YOU REALIZE?

War drums are starting. The Iranian government came out and said war with Israel would start World War III, and when the war starts, it will target U.S. bases. It also appears they don’t want anyone in their country reading much about it, as they are set to block access to Google.

Meanwhile, China and Japan are heading towards conflict over some tiny, uninhabited islands. It sounds like a small thing; it’s not.

EVERYTHING I AM

Excellent feature on Delvin Breaux, a former LSU commit who’s lucky to be alive yet still pursuing his dream of making the NFL after running a 4.4 forty time in San Antonio.

GOTTA HAVE IT

Lupe Fiasco’s album Food and Liquor II drops tomorrow. It’s classic Lupe. Here’s a taste.
